That Craft Place - Baby Challenge

Hi everyone, It's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place and this time the theme is Baby

If you saw my baby boy post last week....well here is Flynns sister Ellie...

The image is from Digistamp Boutique found HERE . All shapes and dies were cut on my baby - my cameo (cameo and a huge range of fab accessories are available from That Craft Place)

The image was coloured with promarkers and copics

Things are a little hectic for me at the moment I have a lot going on at work and my kids are both made up with colds so I apologise for the shortness of this post. Please head back to That Craft Place to check out my DT teamies projects and blogs and to enter your baby card into this weeks challenge.

Sunday 22 September 2013

Hi everyone another post from me today. I want to show you all something I have been working on for the last 17 months! Last April I was asked by a neighbour if I would consider making her wedding invitations and matching items for her. Well my first thought was no way, I'm not good enough. But I thought about it and had a play about with some samples and I talked myself into taking it on. So the brief was pink, butterflies and cute!

I've had lots of contact with the bride throughout the planning both on Facebook and in person and let me tell you she was definately one excited bride. I told Natalie I would not put any photos of whatever I made until after the wedding in case any guests saw anything, I didn't want to spoil any surprises.

Finally, the wedding day arrived yesterday and me and Anna walked round to Natalie's mums house to watch her leave for the wedding. Oh my word she looked STUNNING. I was blown away when her mum and sister shouted me over and presented me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine. This wasn't expected at all but very much appreciated.

So let me show you what I made for this very special day:

337 sheets of white cardstock,
159 sheets of pink cardstock,
586 die cut butterflies,
24 rolls of ds tape,
2 bottles of anitas tacky glue,
 2100 pink gems,
125 meters of pink ribbon,
114 diamante hearts

Day Invitations:

Info for my crafty friends - the border was punched using Woodware Crafty Edger system, the butterfly using Cheery Lyn small butterfly.

The RSVP on the right was perforated so tore off leaving the rest of the invite to fold back up

I made 45 of these in total.

Evening Invitations:

Natalie and Ben choose a different design for the evening invitations. This is a favourite of mine. again I used the Cheery Lyn butterfly die.

The inside had yet another butterfly and a slot for the reply card to sit in.

I made 30 of these initially and then a further 15 later on.

Table Numbers:

8 Table numbers and a top table.

Place Cards:

I would love the take the credit for the actual butterfly here but these were bought plain and I blinged up using the same pink gems I used in the rest of the order. If I remember rightly I did 90 of these.

Order Of Service:

The order of service were made to match the day invitations, I made 60 of these and an extra one in larger print (I forgot to take a close up of these ooops)

Favour Boxes x 100!

Next we have 100 of these little boxes which the bride brought and asked me to decorate along the theme. So another 100 butterflies later we have these beautiful little favour boxes.

Sweetie Time!!

The wedding evening reception was to incude a sweeties trolley and I was asked to make labels for each of the sweets. Again the butterflies and gems made an appearance and I used the sketch pens with the Silhouette Cameo to do the writing.

Wedding Card:

I wanted to make a wedding card for the happy couple and I thought why not stick to the theme so using the design I used on the evening invitations I came up with this:

And lastly here are the beautiful flowers from Natalie and Ben - thank you both!

I'm really hoping everything went well yesterday for the happy couple, I can't wait to see the photos!

Congratulations!

Here Come The Boys Challenge #61 - Baby Boy Cards

Hiya everyone, wow what a few days its been! I have so much to tell you and share with you over the next few days! Let's start with the next fab challenge from Here Come the Boys, this fortnights theme is Baby Boy Cards. Let me tell you theres some super sweet inspiration waiting for you over on the main challenge blog from my fellow DT members. Here's mine:

The image is Baby Fynn from Digistamp Boutique found HERE. If you follow my blog you may just see his little sister Ellie make an appearance soon too!

The backing papers are from the Dovecrafts spots and stripes pack.

All shapes were cut on the cameo and the writing was done using the sketch pens on the cameo. The silhouette cameo, sketch pens and a range of other accessories are available from That Craft Place

I coloured the image in using promarkers (skin) and copics (everything else). I was aiming for a pale blue but as I'm still relatively new to copics I struggled a little and ended up going darker and darker.

I used the same papers inside and printed a tiny version of the stamp in the corner with the work congratulations.

I hope you will jump back over to Here Come The Boys and enter this fab  challenge.

I'll be back later with another post with some amazing news so pop back soon!

A lovely Monday off work

Hi everyone, today was my day off work and I had decided on another craft day (no surprises there then!) Anyway, I wanted to make a card to send in with an application for the DT call that the lovely ladies over at All Dressed Up stamps are having this week. I will be honest I hadn't come across these stamps much before this week.

Amazingly Ive been digi stamping for just over a year now and still finding companies i've not seen yet. Well let me tell you these stamps are just adorable. Let me show you the card I made to support my application:

Although All Dressed Up stamps offered a free digi to work with I visited the shop and fell in love with this digi. I was really impressed to find that not only did you get the file with the three girls on, you also get the file for each girl seperate! Brilliant!

The image is Three Little Autumn Girls. I have coloured the image with a mix of Promarkers and Copics. I have to be honest this is the first time I have attempted to colour dark skin and for a first attempt i'm happy.

The main shape of the card was cut on the silhouette cameo which I got from That Craft Place. The banners, hearts, and rosettes were all also cut on the cameo. The pearls and ribbon were also from That Craft Place. The dew drops were from my stash

So thats my card I will be sending in to All Dressed Up to apply for a place on the Design Team, along with my other two favourite cards HERE and HERE

Wish me luck!

I am amazed by the level of talent from my fellow DT members. If you haven't seen them yet please check back to That Craft Place challenge blog and take a look.

Ok so this time the theme is Things with wings!

I chose a gorgeous digi image from The Paper Shelter called Follow Me On Fairybook and here is what I did with her:

I used my best friend (my cameo) to cut out the card base, the heart banner, rolled flowers and the pink swirls you see behind the tulle. The beads, pearls, ribbon, tulle all are availble from That Craft Place

The image is coloured with promarkers and copics (now available from That Craft Place) and added some ice stickles to give her wings some sparkle.

Im looking forward to see what you all come up with. I will be stopping by with the other DT members to leave you all some lovely comments, I'd really love it if you would do the same for me.

Just Inspirational Challenges - RIBBONS

Hi everyone

As you will know if you've been following my blog for a while I am Team B  DT Member at Just Inspirational Challenges. Well the owners Kelly and Kate have been having a think about how to make the challenges more appealing and to entice more of you to enter etc etc and they decided that instead of having an inspirational photo for every challenge we would sometimes use one and other times use a photo of something that you must use in your creation, for example this weeks photo is of ribbons which means you must have ribbons on your make somewhere.

So onto this weeks challenge - RIBBONS!

This week we are sponsored by Beckys Place Stamps who will give the winner a choice of 3 stamps or 1 stamp set.

I used a gorgeous freebie stamp from Beccay's Place Blog found HERE to make this supercute tag.

The image is coloured with copics.

Head on back to Just Inspirational Challenges now to find out how to enter this weeks fab challenge.

**NEW**NEW**MONTHLY CHALLENGE**NEW**NEW

Hi everyone,  over at Just Inspirational Challenges we have an exciting new challenge for you all. We know you all love our weekly challenge where we normally have a digi stamp company sponsoring us. Well, we are of course going to continue to bring you those challenges but we will now also be running a monthly challenge that will be offering a physical prize. It could be some candy from one of the DT, a voucher for an online craft shop or a goody bag!

So for our first monthly challenge (1st-30th September) we are sponsored by the lovely Lisa over at That Craft Place. (Im extra proud to be part of this challenge as I am also on Lisa's DT team for That Craft Place ) Lisa will send the winner a fabby goody bag!

The theme for this month is:

ANIMALS!Your project can be anything you like but must feature an animal on it. I decided to try my hand at something new for this one. Scrapbooking. I've never attempted one before but purchased a 12x12 scrapbook with the intention of making one to cover our summer holiday. Instead of taking a week away somewhere like we always do my kids asked if we could do lots of day trips instead. In the last 6 weeks we have done Knowsley Safari Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Skegness, Cleethorpes, Scarborough Spa Express Steam Train, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Cadbury World and Drayton Manor - PHEW! Anyway, when I saw the theme for our first monthly challenge was animals I thought why not get cracking with page one - Knowsley Safari Park:

The shapes and the writing were all cut on the Silhouette Cameo, anyone who knows me or follows my blog will know that even after just 2 months I could not live without my cameo now. That Craft Place has the cameo in and Lisa stocks some great accessories for it too.
